The Ultimate Guide: What's the best way to measure your big head? And what sizes do our big hats go up to?

Now for some people it might have been obvious all their lives that they have a big head. They may have never worn a hat because the 'one size fits most' doesn't fit at all. However there will be a lot of people who wear hats even though they are a little tight. There will be people who don't know how big their head is and that our hats could be the pawfect fit for them.

So let's get to it; what's the best way to measure your head? Well it's pretty straight forward. You'll be measuring the circumference of your head as this is how pretty much all hat sizes are determined. This can either be measured in centimetres or inches.

1. Get yourself a soft tape measure

2. Place the soft tape measure around your head. Measuring from the back of your head bringing the ends together at the centre of your forehead. Position it in the middle of your forehead and just above the ears. This should be the widest part of your head.

3. If you don't have a soft tape measure, you could use a piece of string. Measuring from the back of your head bringing the ends together at the centre of your forehead. Position it in the middle of your forehead and just above the ears. This should be the widest part of your head. Measure this against a normal tape measure and you've got your size.

 4. Now you've got your size, either in centimetres or inches, you can use our size chart below to find out where you sit.

So you've measured your head and got your head size. You've found out you've got a big head. Or maybe you haven't, in which case you can take your small head and leave.

If you've got a big head you're probably wondering which one of our hats would be the pawfect fit for you.

Our Big Bear baseball hat has a snapback adjustment so can fit a range of sizes up to about 66cms comfortably. On the smallest setting it will fit a 60cm head nicely. And if your head is a bit smaller than that, you could always take the setting down a notch or two. It's got extra depth to it as well as width.

Our Big Bear bucket hat is probably our biggest hat. As it isn't adjustable; it's a bucket hat made for big heads. At 60/61cm it will fit although may feel a little big. Personally I'd rather the bucket hat was a little too big than being too tight. This bucket hat will fit heads up to 66cm in circumference pawfectly. And it's the best hat for all round protection from the sun.

Lastly our Big Bear beanie hat is stretchy as you'd expect a beanie to be. It will fit a 60cm head well, with plenty of room. It also won't lose it's shape overtime through over stretching. As it will actually fit properly. Our beanie will fit, you guessed it, up to a 66cm comfortably. As it's been made for big heads it will keep its shape over time and still look great.

So there you have it. A guide on how to measure your big head. And the sizes our big hats go up to.

Now you've measured your head. Why not treat yourself to a big hat that will fit unbearlievably. Just imagine a hat that actually fits your head instead of stretching and hurting.
